The Karosta Light Festival will take place this year on October 20, 21 and 22 in Redan. Last year, the Karosta Light Festival was held for the first time, and it gathered a surprising number of visitors over three evenings.
The registration of artists for the festival has closed and it is known that 3 foreign artists and 4 Latvian artists will participate in the festival this year. Artists will create light objects and digital light projections.
Just like last year, students from Liepāja will participate in the festival, making zero-waste lamps. There will be various creative workshops and activities for the whole family. Latvian singers - Reinis Jaunais, Āris Ziemelis and Dzintars Tilaks, Melisa Kaškura will delight visitors with music by the bonfire.
Each evening of the festival will end with a fire show, for which a completely new program is being prepared.
The Karosta Light Festival is organized by the Karosta Rescue Society with the financial support of the State Cultural Capital Fund and the Liepāja City Municipality Administration.
